86 NEW COVID-19 CASES, 2 COMMUNITY & 6 IMPORTED

As of 12 pm today (Aug 16), Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed an additional 86 cases of COVID-19 infections in Singapore. The majority of the infected individuals are Work Permit holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

Out of the 86 Cases reported, there is only 2 community case. The 2 cases consist of 1 Singaporean/PRs and 1 Work pass holder and this brings the country’s total cases to 55,747.

There are also 6 new imported cases who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arriving in Singapore.

Further updates will be shared by the Ministry of health later tonight.
