MAN WHO CLIMBED OVER STADIUM GATE TO EXERCISE BEFORE OPERATING HOURS, ARRESTED

According to a Facebook post by the Serangoon Neighbourhood Police Centre, a 45-year-old man was arrested for climbing over the gates of Serangoon Stadium to exercise before operating hours.

The police were notified to a case of trespassing at the stadium on July 20 and Ground Response Force (GRF) officers from Serangoon NPC then responded to the incident and spotted the man running away from the stadium.

The officers then gave chase and detained him.

Investigations by the police revealed that the suspect was also believed to be involved in two other reports of trespassing during the Circuit Breaker period.

If convicted of Wilful Trespass on property, the man faces a fine of up to S$1,000.
