SCOOT APOLOGISES AFTER MASS SENDING EMAILS REGARDING COVID-19 RESTRICTION

Scoot Singapore apologises after having accidentally sent out emails to their customer who did not book any flight with them. Apparently, the email was meant for passengers who are flying from Singapore to Guangzhou. The email was sent to inform their passengers on the new COVID-19 requirement.

Starting from 28 Aug 2020, passengers who are flying to China are required to take a nucleic acid test 5 days before their departure dates and only those who are tested negative are allowed to be onboard.

Scoot Singapore is currently investigating the issue and will provide an update at the soonest possible time.

Scoot Singapore apologises for the oversight and is rectifying the error. No personal data were leaked by the error made.
