
According to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a food recall alert on peaches that were either packed or supplied by Prima Wawona or Wawona Packing Company in the U.S.A.

This is because these peaches are believed to have a potential link to Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak happening in the U.S.A. In response, the SFA has ordered the importer in Singapore to recall all the products after being notified that some of the products were exported to Singapore.
The Consumption of these contaminated fruits will cause salmonellosis in humans which could be fatal to young children and the elderly.
