S$15,000 WORTH OF DRUGS SEIZED IN CNB OPERATION, 5 S’POREANS ARRESTED

The Central Narcotics Bureau said in a news release on September 1, that 5 Singaporeans were arrested in an operation spanning multiple locations islandwide.

622g of Cannabis, about 21g of Ketamine, 22 Ecstacy tablets, 17 Erimin-5 tablets and 4 pieces of LSD worth about S$15,000 were seized, along with S$25,950 in cash.

A 28-year-old man’s home was raided by CNB officers at Anchorvale Road on Monday afternoon where 524g of Cannabis were recovered at the unit.

Following up on that operation, CNB officers then raided two hotel rooms in Sentosa, where they found and arrested a 30-year-old man and 27-year-old woman in one room, seizing 42g of Cannabis; an Ecstacy tablet and 2 pieces of LSD were also recovered.

The 30-year-old man was then taken to his home at Simei Street 1,  where authorities recovered cash and 48g of cannabis.

A 37-year-old and 33-year-old woman were also arrested in a second room at the same hotel at Sentosa, where about 8g of Cannabis, about 9g of Ketamine, 13 Ecstasy tablets, seven Erimin-5 tablets and two pieces of LSD were seized, along with other drug paraphernalia.

The 37-year-old was then taken to his home at Changi Road, where 12g of Ketamine, 8 Ecstacy tablets and 10 Erimin-5 tablets were seized.

Investigations are currently ongoing.
