Dwayne Johnson, also known affectionately as The Rock, 48, has tested positive for Covid-19, along with his wife Lauren and their daughters, Jasmine, 4 and Tiana, 2.
The family of four contracted the coronavirus from family friends, according to the actor.
Public announcement on IG
In an Instagram post where he announced his family’s situation with the coronavirus, Johnson said: “I wanted to give you guys a little helpful update on things that have been going on on my end for the past two-and-a-half to three weeks now. So the update is this: my wife Lauren as well as my two baby girls and myself, we have all tested positive for COVID-19.”
Most difficult thing to go through
He added that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things that he and his family have ever had to endure together, and for himself personally as well.
He also reflected: “Testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries, or being evicted, or even being broke, which I have been more than a few times.”
He also added that he wishes it was only him who tested positive, but it wasn’t, it was his entire family, which was a real kick in the gut.
No longer contagious
He shares that his family are no longer contagious and that they are on the other side.
He captioned his post with a few words of advice:
