A tragic incident that shocked many people and especially parents happened earlier this year when a 13-year-old girl fell from a multi-storey carpark located at Pasir Ris Street 51 Blk 526A.
The primary 6 victims were learning to ride a bike that does not have handbrakes and rode the bike from the seventh storey down the ramp of the carpark.
Her friend told her to make a right turn to avoid a collision but however the girl did not manage to turn the bike and collided with the railing of the carpark, the impact made the girl flew off from the bicycle and landed at the foot of the building.
Court evidence suggest that she tried to grab on to the railing but failed to maintain the grip and fell to her death.
The victim suffered, head and rub fractures and succumbing to her injuries later.
