Recently, a python was capture by a pest control company at Block 457 Jurong West Street 41. The video of the incident has been circulating on social media in the past few days.
However, the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (Acres) has come forward and criticised the pest control staff for mishandling the animal. From the video, the staff was seen stepping on the python with their full weight. The snake was later seen been aggressively tugged into the bag.
According to Mr Kalai Vanan, deputy chief executive officer of Acres, this is another horrific display by pest control company when it comes to the handling of snakes. He then urged the members of the public to contact ACRES or NParks if they have come across any animals that need help.
As staffs from ACRES or NParks are better trained when it comes to the handling of wildlife.
