A local girl recently posted on Facebook after her boyfriend got so addicted to gaming that he ignored her and did not even bring her out for dates as he rather prefer to stay at home to play Mobile Legends. After finishing up his game, he would then ask for s*x.

Freshly out of a r/s!So I have been seeing this “gamer” guy who loves ML and whatever other handphone games for the past few months. I myself am a rather hardcore gamer, but I’m maining warframe, fall guys and FF right now.
A day after we got together, a mutual friend showed me his fb (I only use insta) as I was curious, and he posted this: “Kings I did it. Landed myself a gamer girl. Finally got a girl who won’t nag me whenever I game. See ya later virgins.” and I took it as a joke post and didn’t think much of it.
1st two weeks was fun, but holy hell he eventually reverted to his original form and was GLUED to his phone whenever we were on dates. We can be eating and chatting but he has at least 1 hand on his phone at all times. He’s always in some kind of chat with his gaming groups and even when he’s not playing ML, he’s talking to them and on-call 24/7. Every time there’s some minor issue in his guild he just goes “sorry babe this is important. You use your phone lah, I need to settle this.” and he’d be on his phone for like the next 30 minutes.
Eventually I brought my annoyance up because it was getting too much. When he comes over to my Hall, he’d be texting them for hours even though we have plans (e.g. movie) and just leave me to play my games. Then once he settles his group affairs, he’d come over and try to fool around with me or initiate s*x. he didn’t pay me a single fking shred of attention for the past 5 hours and now he has the nerve to want sx?
Anyway I remarked that he was basically talking to his friends 98% of the time and I was just an afterthought. And I suggested we should stop going for dates as often if he’s going to be talking to his clan mates more than me. He got pissy and said that he is fine with me using my phone during dates, and he expected more understanding from a “fellow gamer”.
So I dumped his ass. You see guys, this is why girls don’t want to date gamers. Guys like him be perpetrating every single shitty gamer stereotype out there. Gosh even I, who customs my own keyboards, messes around with raspberry pi and created 3 NSFW fallout 3 mods for nexus from scratch, am now reluctant to date another gamer guy.
P.S. Playing mobile legends and proclaiming yourself to be a gamer? Please, don’t make me laugh.
