51 Y.O ATTACK WOMAN WHO DID NOT KEEP THE LIFT DOOR OPEN FOR HIM @ CCK

Disputes among people happen on a daily basis. However, sometimes even the most minor situations can result in combat between members of the public.

The incident happened on 27 Jan 2019 at an HDB block located in Choa Chu Kang, the woman who entered the lift and the doors began to close.

Seo Chye Sin a 51-year-old jobless man had a medical condition and was not able to walk properly and needed a walking stick to assist him, he then used the walking stick to stop the lift door from closing and confronted the victim.

After pressing the 15th-floor button in the lift, Seo confronted the woman and asked why she did not leave the door open for him and they started arguing.

When the lift arrived at 15th floor, Seo stared at the woman and said “What do you want” in an aggressive manner, they began to fight and the victim’s phone fell on the ground.

Seo then pushed the woman’s chest and the victim retaliated by pushing him away before picking up her mobile phone. Seo was furious after getting pushed and started punching the woman on her head for a few times.

The commotion was so loud that Seo’s family could hear them and they rushed to separate them and stopping the fight.

The victim then called her friend for help who also call the Police.

Initially, the prosecutor wanted to fine Seo $4,800, however, the defendant pleaded that Seo is not working due to his medical condition and asked for leniency and suggested a fine of $1,800 would suffice. Eventually, he was issued a fine of $3,750.

For causing hurt he could be easily fined up to $5,000 and jailed for up to 3 months for using criminal force.
