A problematic tenant who refused to pay rental amounting to $60,000 has been reported to the police by his landlord. It is believed that the tenant, 67 year old Shen Tianbao had rented a condominium unit with his family at Bedok Court.
The landlord stated that Shen started his rental lease in July 2019 for one year and he paid one month’s rent before moving in. He then gave many excuses to not pay his rent soon after.
The landlord, Mr He then tried to evict Shen by taking down the unit’s iron gate with a chain saw but the damage was minimal before the tenant hosed both He and his cousin with water.
Shen, who felt that they were threatening his safety, allegedly kicked He’s cousin as well.
Landlord He then made a police report. Investigations into a case of voluntarily causing hurt and intentional harassment are ongoing.
