
According to a media release, 2 were arrested for their suspected involvement in drug-related offences. It was reported that the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) has conducted raids in two separated locations on 08 Nov 2020.
The first incident happened at a HDB unit located at Block 33 Bendemeer Road at about 8.30 pm. A 61-year-old man was arrested after having a 4 hours stand-off with the authorities. In the process, the man even threatened to hurt the officers and himself. The man was only arrested after the SPF’s Special Operations Command (SOC) steps in.
Several drug-related products were seized from the unit.

Second arrest on the same day
On the same day around the same timing, a man and woman were also arrested at a unit located at Block 149 Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
Similarly, the duo refused to open the door with the woman turning violent and threatened to cause harm to herself. SPF’s Crisis Negotiation Unit was brought in to engaged the duo and finally allowing the officers into the unit. The woman was later carried out of the unit in a stretcher with no visible injuries.
The police later confirmed that the man in the first incident was investigated for drug offences and an offence under the Protection from Harassment Act. Whereas the woman in the second incident was investigated for drugs, cheating and possession of an offensive weapon.
