A 24-year-old man pour boiling point water over and over on his five-year-old child, who kicked the bucket a day later.

The man was charged in court yesterday morning with intentionally bringing grievous hurt.
He professedly hurt the kid on Saturday around 8.48pm at a Housing Board level in Block 160, Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
The kid was taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where he passed on Sunday.
The maximum punishment for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using any instrument, weapon or by means of fire or heated substance is a life term or up to 15 years’ jail with a fine or caning.
