Former national football player, Mohammad Imran Sahib Mohamed Ibrahim Sahib, was sentenced to 18 weeks jail and fined $1,000 after he molested his Tinder date’s friend.
The 38 year old man was married when he decided to take both women home in his car. But after he sent his date home, he then proceeded to molest the victim where they were alone. The attack happened when the car was on the move, this prevented the victim from escaping from the moving car.
Imran, who was represented by lawyer Revi Shanker, denied molesting the woman. He even claimed that she had consumed amphetamine and was acting “strangely”, shouting at strangers as the night wore on.
Imran intends to appeal against his conviction and sentence. His bail was set at $15,000 on Friday.
