A 16 & 18 Y.O MEN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AT TECK WHYE

Two young men, aged 16 and 18 respectively, who were suspected of burglary at Teck Whye Crescent will be charged in court tomorrow (November 13).

According to a statement from the Singapore Police Force, the police received a report on the day before yesterday (November 10) that a burglary occurred in Tech Whye Crescent and that cash in a residential unit was stolen.

After investigations and with the assistance of police closed-circuit television, officers from Jurong Police Station uncovered the identity of the suspects and arrested them yesterday.

Once convicted of burglary, it can be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison, plus a fine.

The police remind all homeowners that they should make sure to lock the doors and windows when leaving home, and avoid placing large amounts of cash in the home. The homeowner can also install an anti-theft system at home and check it regularly to ensure that it is working properly.
