YP AMONG 4 ARRESTED FOR BLACKMAILING

According to a media release, 4 men were arrested for their suspected involvement in blackmailing.

They were set to be charged in court on 28 Nov 2020.

The police were alerted on 26 Nov 2020 around 3 pm to a case of blackmailing that happened at Geylang Lorong 18. It was reported that the victim has been blackmailed for $180.

After investigations, the police managed to established the identity of the 4 men and arrested the YP on the same day. Investigations against the 3 others are currently ongoing.

According to the law, if convicted for blackmailing, the YP could face a jail term up to 7 years and cane.
