
A 29-year-old man was arrested for intentionally causing hurt to a woman with a stun device.
The police were alerted on 26 Nov 2020 around 10.30 pm. It was reported that a woman was attacked by a man in a HDB unit located in Ang Mo Kio. Police investigation revealed that both man and woman knew each other.
During the arrest, the police raided the unit and found a stun device in the man’s possession. The device was then seized by the police.
Police investigations are ongoing.
According to the law, anyone convicted of Illegal possession of firearms or weapons could be jailed up to 3 years, fine up to $5,000 or both. Anyone convicted of intentionally causing hurt to others could be jailed up to 3 years, fine $5,000 or both.
