
According to a media release, 5 British Nationals and 1 Singaporeans has pleaded guilty of breaching the COVID-19 regulations.
It was reported that the 6 who was charged were part of a group of 12 individuals and gathered at Lazarus island back in August this year.
Court documents revealed that the 12 individuals have taken a ferry to St. John island before walking to Lazarus island on 08 Aug 2020. They then had several activities together before returning to the mainland.
Due to their conviction, the 5 foreigners have been banned from working in Singapore. Each of them was fined $3,000 each for their offence.
According to the law, anyone convicted of breaching COVID-19 could be jailed up to 6 months, fined up to $10,000 or both.
