40 Y.O WOMAN ARRESTED FOR LOANSHARK HARRASSMENT @ WOODLANDS

According to a media release, a 40-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in loanshark harassment activities.

The police were alerted between 01 Nov to 5 Nov 2020 to two cases of loanshark harassment that happened along Woodlands West Ave 6 and Segar Road. It was reported that the woman had assisted in taking photographs of residential units before leaving a debtor note behind.

After investigations, the police managed to identify the woman with the aid of the CCTV. She was eventually arrested on 26 Nov 2020.

The woman was charged in court on 28 Nov 2020 for her offence. Anyone convicted for the offence could be jailed for up to 5 years, fined up to $50,000 with minimum 6 strokes of the cane
