A man has shared an unpleasant encounter with his landlord on social media claiming that his wife and his child were assaulted by his landlord. Video of the incident was also uploaded showing the landlord forcing his way through the door before assaulting the woman and child.

“He was my “Landlord”. He assaulted my wife and child when I wasn’t there. He bit my wife.
Here goes my story: My partner and I were finding a place to start up a business & we decided on Central area which was Midview City.
We came across this decent office for rental, which was posted on Carousell.
Our “Landlord” would frequently come and go, entering our unit as he pleased to “visit” us, sometimes without our knowledge. We found it peculiar as he was always dressed with the same T-shirt and shorts. He claimed to own 16 units in the building and owns 4 companies. We were amazed.
We thought it was the norm for landlords to come in as they please because ultimately, they own the unit.
We mistakenly believed it was the norm.
Until one day, we found out he wasn’t the real landlord when the actual landlord showed up with supporting documents proving his ownership.
He was subletting illegally to us. He breached his contract and his contract got terminated.
Subsequently, we signed a TA with the real owner of the unit.
He then came to tell us lies about the real owner and wanted us to believe him. Claiming that he is helping us.
We ignored his calls. Ignored his messages.
21st November, I went back to grab some stuff from my home to prepare to OT in my office.
That was the BIGGEST mistake I ever made. I left my wife and son to wait for me in the office as we planned on doing more work once I got back.
My business partner was not in the office.
I was not in the office. This “Landlord” trespassed my unit and attacked my wife. He kept shoving both of my wife and son over and caused them to fall. And he bit my wife too.On top of that, he was not wearing a mask.
My wife was carrying my small 3-year-old son. How can you do that to a mother and a baby?
My traumatised wife has suffered a fractured toe, bruises, abrasions and a bite mark on her arm. Police gave me a case card and until now, no actions were taken against him and I was told that it’s still pending.
Where is our justice system? He was released on the spot because “voluntarily causing hurt” is not an arrestable offence. He even proudly told me: ”Police can’t do anything to me. I never done anything wrong. “, right after the police left. While my wife was sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital with my traumatized son.
The next day: He broke into our unit again and stole our SD card from our surveillance camera which contains the footage of him assaulting my wife. He also vandalised our unit by breaking our newly installed lock and installing his own and drilling a hole in the wall. He then barricaded the entrance with his junk. The police didn’t even allow us to enter our unit and allowed him to stay in the unit when we, unquestionably are the tenant of the unit(with supporting documents).
And we were told us to go to civil court to settle this issue. So trespassing, stealing my SD card from our camera, assaulting my wife, is not detainable by law? No action has been taken towards this man ever since this horrifying incident. I am utterly disappointed with the police system in SG. I am also lost for words.
Are we really a safe country? He threatened and verbally abused us. He is a manipulator and a compulsive liar. He goes by many aliases. Most commonly used names are Danny and Joshua. I don’t know how many more people has he scammed. I believe we are not the only one that is tolerating this “Landlord”. He rented many units and “subletted” to many tenants without the owner’s knowledge. If you are one of them, see for yourself and know who you are dealing with”
