2 TEENAGERS ARRESTED FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD

According to a police media release, 2 teenagers aged 17 and 19 years old were arrested for their suspected involvement in credit card fraud. It was reported the suspects had stolen credit card information from their victim to make unauthorized transactions.

The police were alerted on 01 Dec 2020 by the victim claiming that her credit card had been used by third-party for unauthorized transactions.

After investigations, the police established the identity of the two suspects and arrested both of them on 04 Dec 2020. Initial investigations revealed that both suspects had stolen the credit card information while working as a cashier in a restaurant.

The total amount in the credit card fraud amount to $180. Police investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, the suspects could face up to two years of jail, fined up to $5,000 or both.
