A former ITE lecturer was sentenced to 8 months of jail after he was found guilty of insulting the modesty of 335 women.
It was reported that the 41-year-old man had modified his laptop bag where he had placed a mini camera in it. He then goes around in shopping malls targeting middle-aged women.
After he lost his job, the man has worked as a part-time delivery man. During this period between Jul 2017 to Oct 2017, he has walked around malls like Tampines mall, Ion Orchard and Changi City point to find his targets. The man was later caught at Plaza Singapura on 23 Oct 2017.
After investigations, a total of 335 of women’s upskirt video were recovered from the man’s devices.
According to the law, for insulting the modesty of a woman, the man could be jailed up to a year and fined.
