47 Y.O MAN ARRESTED FOR SPLASHING PAINT @ BEDOK SOUTH

According to a media release, a 47-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in loanshark harassment activities.

The police were alert on 27 Nov 2020 to a case of loanshark harassment that happened along Bedok South Avenue 2. It was reported that the man has splashed red paint on the gate of a HDB unit before leaving a debtor note behind.

The man was later arrested on 15 Dec 2020 after he was identified by the police with the aid of the police CCTV.

According to the law, anyone convicted of loanshark harassment could be jailed up to 5 years, fined up to $50,000 and caned.
