According to a court hearing, Pei Shao Bao a 25-years-old was caught stealing lingerie from female hostel rooms in NUS.
Pei pleaded guilty to 3 counts of theft.
How he got caught
Between Jan 2020 and Feb 2020, The 25-year-old NUS student would often enter the hostel which was occupied by 4 female tenants and steal their bra and panties.
He was eventually caught red-handed on 8 Feb 2020 when one of the victims saw him in her room, he tried to run away but the CCTV footage identified him. He would often keep the stolen lingerie and use it for his “self-pleasure”.
The victim eventually made a police report and Pei was caught, several items were recovered and some were soiled by him.
“The fact that he has managed well academically or in other areas of his life should not detract from the seriousness of the offenses.”
He was sentenced to 6 weeks jail.
