
The United Nations recently stated that there were close to one million Malaysians in Singapore which makes them the biggest demographic group in Singapore.

The percentage of Malaysians has increase from 27 percent since 1990 to 44 percent currently. The numbers have increased from 195,072 to close to one million currently.
The other second largest migrant group in Singapore at around 18 percent were Chinese migrants.
The migrants statistics include those who have acquired Singaporean citizenship, permanent residents, those who have work passes and their dependants, and those who are studying there.
