A Facebook user has shared his story on NUS Whisper Facebook page seeking for relationship advice.
According to his post, he had a foreign girlfriend and are unable to meet due to the COVID situation. His girlfriend then asked him if he is okay for her to find another guy to provide her physical interaction which she longs for.
Out of love, the user agreed to her request but felt torn about it.

“Hi, I’m currently in a kind of a relationship with a girl. Relationship is described as such due to us getting to know each other online. Despite our mutual feelings for each other, we are unable to be there physically for each other due to different geographical locations. This relationship has been ongoing for a few months.
However, she recently expressed her frustration that we are unable to meet due to the Covid situation and she longs to be hugged by someone, which I am presently unable to provide. As such, she asked if she is able to get together with someone else in her area who can provide her with such physical interaction. As much as I am unwilling to, i agreed to it with some conditions set. She agreed to those conditions and assured me that the relationship with the other guy won’t be a serious one as she believes the motive for getting together isn’t serious. But in the event it does get serious, she promises to inform me so that i won’t waste my time.
She is however unable to give assurances that she will break up with the guy to be with me if their relationship is still ongoing and i am able to visit her at the soonest available time.
In this kind of situation, what would be the ideal course of action. Really torn about it as I do wish for things to work out between us.”
