SWENSEN’S AT JURONG POINT SHOPPING CENTRE SUSPENDED FOR TWO WEEKS

Starting from 25 January 2021 Swensen’s at Jurong Point Shopping Centre will be suspended for a period of 2 weeks till 07 February 2021.

This is resulted from Swensen’s failing to comply with the Singapore Food Agency rules and regulations. Thus, amounting to 12 demerit points causing their licence to be suspended for two weeks.

The store has accumulated two of the same offense (Failure to keep licensed premises free of cockroach infestation) with is 6 demerit points per offense, resulting in a total of 12 points during a period of 12 months causing their license to be suspended.

SFA has also said, “ SFA takes a serious view of these offences and would like to remind food operators to observe good food and personal hygiene practices at all times, and to engage only registered food handlers. SFA will not hesitate to take firm action against anyone found to be in violation of the Environmental Public Health Act. “
