According to a media release, the body of an 83-year-old woman was found floating along Singapore River.

Numerous reports from the media stated that the incident happened yesterday (30 Jan) at around 11 AM. The Civil Defence Forces confirmed that they received a notification to help and they used PUB boats to rescue the woman who fell into the water.
SCDF stated a woman was conveyed unconscious to the hospital but later pronounced dead.
The Police has classified the incident as an unnatural death and investigations are ongoing.
