Minister-in-charge Vivian Balakrishnan has also said that more than 390k people have signed to be part of the tracing program.

Furthermore, TraceTogether app users are allowed to request for their data to be removed unless they are patients of COVID-19.

On 4 January 2021, Minister State of Home Affairs Desmond Tan said that the police can get any data they want from the TraceTogether app for police investigations under the Criminal Procedure Code.

This made the citizen of Singapore somewhat unhappy because it was said last year that it would only be used to trace Co|OVID-19 related cases.
