A video was recently uploaded on the Instagram page sgfollowsall which shows a local Indian promoter shocking shoppers with his multilingual language skills. It was believed that he could converse in 6 languages. His feat was filmed by a shopper at NTUC’s Parkway Parade outlet.

Mystery Multilingual Man at Parkway Parade Xtra
NTUC FairPrice Xtra at Parkway Parade is really EXTRA, especially when they have this mystery multilingual man that converses in the 6 languages!!! Last week, my mother was shopping for mandarin oranges and struggled to express what type she wanted when suddenly this man attending to her, started talking to her in Cantonese!! He then spoke to another auntie in Mandarin (mom even compared my mandarin to his as his seemed better, and she kept nagging at how I should be embarrassed).
Just earlier this week, I went by to get more Lukan oranges and was waiting in line when I saw a man in his grey shirt speaking in Malay to a customer (I didn’t think much yet). Then, out of the blue I heard conversations in Cantonese! It was at this moment that I pieced it together – this was the guy! Then I intentionally spoke to him in Mandarin (to see if he really that cool as mom made out to be) to which he didn’t flinch or choke up one bit.This is crazy! After buying my Lukans, I asked him if he spoke any other languages, and turns out he does!?! He apparently speaks the same language that priyanka chopra jonas does (Hindi). Then he said something about studying punjabi also. So at this point, I just got so amused and wondered how does this man who looks a little middle eastern, but a bit ang moh, and maybe Italian speaks so many languages?
He goes by “Ham” which I found very very cute and funny! Very jovial guy, especially for someone who’s just attending to oranges. Never seen someone so happy to be handling oranges, lol. Really a charming and entertaining man! Just look at the crowd gathering just to hear him speak, too good. Secretly film a snippet of his “performance” haha
