INDIAN NATIONAL ON LONG TERM VISIT PASS TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, 2 WEEKS AFTER SHN

A 35-year-old long-term visit pass holder served a Stay Home Notice at a dedicated facility from 6 January to 20 January upon reaching Singapore, and her swab test done on the 17 January was negative.

The woman then took a Covid-19 pre-departure test on Tuesday 2 February ahead of her flight back to India, her test result came back positive on 3 February and she was taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

The asymptomatic woman’s close contacts, including her family members, have since been placed on quarantine and isolated.

Singapore’s total Covid-19 cases now stands at 59,602.
