BORING DARK NIGHT AT CHINATOWN THIS COMING WEEKEND AND CNY EVE

As part of the safety measures for the precaution of the pandemic, the authorities have banned the usage of the colorful Chinatown decorative lights. It is not allowed to be switched on during this weekend and the eve of Chinese New Year.

Restrictions to some of the streets such as Pagoda Street and Trengganu Street during the busy hours on the weekend may also be taken place told by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE).

Along with the restriction of street access, festive lights along South Bridge Road, New Bridge Road, and Eu Tong Sen Street will not be allowed to switch on during this coming Friday to Sunday and on the eve of Chinese New Year Feb 11.
