A GrabFood rider was caught on CCTV stealing a family’s potted plant from their HDB corridor.
The rider, dressed in the greem GrabFood uniform, was pushing his ebike across the corridor when he noticed a row of potted plants.
He stops for a brief moment to catch a quick glance of the plant that captured his attention before his continued heading back towards the lift lobby.
He then returned to the row of potted plants without his bike in tow, to pick up one of the plants for a closer inspection.
He looks around his surroundings to check whether anyone had seen him, before putting the plant down and walking back to the lift lobby.
However, he soon returned to the corridor, picks up the plant with one hand and leaves with it.
The owner of the plant returned later in the evening to find out that one of their newly bought plants were missing.
The owner revealed that the plant costs $8 and that the incident wasn’t about the cost of the plant, but the dishonesty of Grab’s employees.
They tried calling Grab’s hotline and was told to send an email instead, of which the emails that they sent kept “bouncing back” as the Grab email provided appeard to be no longer in use.
