
Earlier today, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said that Singapore will officially start their vaccination programme and get the elderly ready to receive the vaccination.
Earlier this year, senior citizens aged 70 and above who is from the district of Ang Mo Kio and Tanjong Pagar was part of the pilot for vaccination. The COVID-19 task force aims to get Singapore vaccinated by the third quarter of this year.
Mr Lee made the announcement at Changi General Hospital on the first day of Chinese new year that the country has ordered vaccine from multiple suppliers in preparation for the vaccination programme.
He mentioned that supplies will depend on whether the vaccines arrive on time and hopes that the orders of vaccine supplies will not face any disruption.
Cant go for a holiday anytime soon
“I do not think you can expect to go back to the days when you just buy a ticket and go up to Bangkok or Hong Kong for a weekend, for some time to come,” said PM Lee
