
On 16 February 2021 at about 4.30 pm, Deputy Prime Minister Mr Heng has announced that the petrol duty rates will be increased with immediate effect.

Premium petrol will be increased by 15 cents per litre and other petrol will be 10 cents per litre.
This will be an extra cost for drivers on the road, especially for private hirers who frequent petrol stations for petrol.
Petrol 95 was costing about $1.91 during circuit breaker. During the past months, it cost about $2.15. But after today, prices hit a high of $2.22.
