Recently, a netizen found out that his mum was charged with over $347 of excess data.
He was complaining about this incident on social media and asking why isn’t there a max capped for the excess data usage.

“Pls take note of the excess data charges if your data exceeded for M1 user. My mum was recently charged $347.51 for excess data.She exploded her data as there was bad M1 broadband connection at home and she didn’t realise that she was using data whole day long while watching her favourite FB show“
“We appealed to M1 and managed to waive off 70% but still need to pay $111 plus for the excess data charges“
