User i_got_a_question_to_ask recently posted on the HWZ forum after he received a message from a scammer pretending to be a pretty girl from Hong Kong.

It is believed that their modus operandi was to start off their conversation off by saying that they return to Hong Kong from Singapore to visit their parents and that they can’t return to Singapore due to the epidemic.
They will then say they run a clothing store or that they have some kind of business in Hong Kong. Many Singaporeans have received such messages and it is believed that the person that you would be talking to is actually a bot.
