CHINATOWN POINT ON FIRE, AROUND 100 EVACUATED. 1 SEND TO HOSPITAL

According to a video that was posted earlier today, a fire broke out at Chinatown Point shopping mall today morning.

Around 100 people were evacuated from the scene, according to SCDF they were informed of the incident at around 10.25 AM located at 133 New Bridge Road.

The signboard of the store caught fire and large amounts of smoke can be seen in the vicinity and in the mall.

At least 1 person was sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation and security officers were seen evacuating mall patrons.

Many photos emerge on social media, that the smoke can be seen even from a distance.

The fire was put out by the mall’s sprinkler system and a fire extinguisher before SCDF arrived.
