MHA said:

“The single theory test will cover modules on both path and road safety to ensure that riders are aware of active mobility rules, the code of conduct and safe riding behaviour.”

What it encompasses

Riders of the PAB will need to be at least 16-years-old and pay a single test fee, upon which the test result will be valid for life except in cases of fraud.

This theory test is the same theory test that electric bicycles will also have to pass form the middle of the year onwards.

A test handbook will be released in April.

The MHA also said that riding a PAB on the roads without passing the theory tyest will be constituted as an offence.

It will also be illegal to employ a person who hasn’t passed the theory test to ride their PAB on the roads.

These offences will be categorised under the Active Mobility Act.
