A 25-year-old resident from Hougang, Ms Tang, shared videos of her neighbour harassing her family onto TikTok, documenting the numerous acts committed against them.
Her neighbour could be seen in the videos kicking her shoes, using his umbrella to damage her potted plants, shouting vulgarities at her, banging pails late at night.
He was also alleged to have spat at her, although she said he missed.
Her neighbour also called the police and SCDF numerous times, complaining of burning smells coming from Tang’s unit: The Town Council and HDB later investigated and concluded that the ammonia/chlorine smell was coming from his unit instead.
Tan revealed that she had sough help and recourse through various channels, including the CMC and HDB, but her neighbour was uncooperative.
She also approached her MP for help, who informed HDB and the Police, but was told that nothing could be done as no laws were broken.
