
A 64-year-old man was arrested for his alleged involvement in a case of robbery with hurt.
The police said that they were alerted to the incident that happened at French Road on 6 May, at around 4.35am.
The man had reportedly been in a confrontation with an 81-year-old man and allegedly pulled a gold necklace from his neck and hurriedly fled the scene.
The victim ended up falling down and suffered lacerations on his head, he was then sent to the hospital.
The alleged perpetrator was then arrested within 8 hours, with the police establishing his identity through ground enquiries.
The police also recovered the stolen gold necklace, as well as cash amounting to S$1,718.
The alleged perpetrator will be charged in court tomorrow (8 May).
