
A 30-year-old woman allegedly stole a credit card from the workplace where she had her job interview.
She then used the credit card to spend over $5,000.
The victim discovered several unauthorised transactions made with her missing credit card and made a police report on 4 May.
Officers from the Commercial Affairs Department then established the perpetrator’s identity through investigations and arrested the woman on 6 May.
More than 20 unauthorised transactions were made on the card.
Some of the items bought by the alleged thief included two necklaces and two wallets.
The woman was charged in court on 7 May with cheating, with the items that she bought with the stolen credit card recovered.
