
The Singapore Police said in a news release that a 21-year-old manw as arrested for suspected involvement in a case of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous means.
The man allegedly picked up a sharp object along Commonwealth Avenue West on 10 May 2021, at around 11.20pm, and use the object to attack his 41-year-old father.
He then fled the scene before the police arrived.
The two were believed to have been in a dispute before the incident.
The perpetrator was then arrested within 4 hours by officers from the Clementi Police Division and Jurong Police Division, who established his identity through CCTV images and ground enquiries.
He will be charged in court later today (12 May) under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
