A floating body was found at Bedok Reservoir this morning (18th Mary), and the police cordoned off the scene for more than 3 hours for investigation.
The accident occurred at around 6:50 am today at the Bedok Reservoir. It is reported that the deceased was a Chinese man in his 70s.
A member of the public said that the police had begun to block the scene at 6:50am in the morning. Many joggers still showed up for their morning exercise, but because the police cordoned off the scene, many people had to take a detour.
The Civil Defense Forces stated that when they arrived, they found a body floating on the water. Emergency services confirmed that the individual had passed away.
The police pointed stated that they had received a report for an unnatural death in Bedok Reservoir. The deceased was a 76-year-old man. Preliminary investigation revealed that the case did not involve foul play and the case is under investigation.
