INDIA’S FOREIGN MINISTER: S’PORE & INDIA’S RELATIONSHIP IS EXCEPTIONAL

The Indian Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar, refuted Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal’s claims of a “Singapore variant” and reaffirmed the “exceptional relationship” between the two countries.

He added that both Singapore and India have been solid partners in the fight against Covid-19.

Jaishankar was replying to w tweet by the official spokesman of India’s External Affairs Ministry, who tweeted that the Indian High Commissioner P Kumaran had refused Kejriwal’s claims.

Singapore’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, also replied to Jaishankar’s tweet, thanking him and reiterating the need for both countries to focus on resolving their issues and helping one another.
