There was a fire at Jalan Besar Plaza yesterday morning. About 40 people evacuated from the building after the fire started. Luckily no one was injured during the incident.

At 10.30am, SCDF was alerted to the incident at around 10.30am. One fire engine accompanied by 3 red rhinos,2 fire bikes and 3 other support vehicles was send to the scene.
The fire is believed to be started by rubbish from level 9. SCDF is still investigating the cause of the fire.
This is the second incident of a mall having fire breakouts this year.
