The customer, known only as bobmubarak, said that he ordered a cheesecake but he forgot to ask the shop for candles.

So he texted the delivery person, who asked the shop but they didn’t have any, which was fine with bobmubarak.

The rider, Nabil, went out of his way to help him get candles from another shop.

“Today, i was reminded that in whatever that you do, if you did it with your heart and sincerity – you could move mountains.
•
when i ordered the cheesecake today, i forgot to ask for candles. i texted the delivery person and asked if he could help me ask the shop if they have candles. unfortunately they don’t and truly, i was okay with that.
•
but nabil went out of his way, to get the candles for me from another shop. it was not a small gesture. as a customer, i felt like this is a huge gesture and he was extremely kind and sincere about it.
•
thank you so much for this nabil! sometimes i tend to be complacent and not realised that their work is not easy. they had to wait for my orders, drive or ride with our orders in the sun, the rain, before rushing off for the next job. and not forgetting the amount of time they are on the road and how dangerous it could be. and yes, we tend to forget all these and sometimes, just a thank you is not enough.
•
dear nabil. you showed me how it’s like to give our all in whatever we do, and what you did humbled me. may you be granted ease in your work, may Allah keep you safe while you are at work, and may He continue to bless you and your family with neverending sustenance. ameen.
