Here is the story:

Tried not to go public but Jolibee Group Manager (no names here) said they have investigated and found no trace of the cable tie fried with their delicious batter via their circuit cameras (v powerful one to be able to see cable tie) and can only reply me through official channels of the outcome strangely.

Hence this post and at same time made a report with SFA.I love Jolibee but their marketing and management is simply not hitting the mark here. Ordered a bucket of chicken on 23rd June and came with half a “surprise gift”. Thankfully I was the one who bit into it and not the kiddos.

Tried calling the outlet numerous times but no response. Left a private msg on Facebook which they replied on 24th and said they will call me back but noone did. Went to the outlet on 25th night and the outlet staff said they will check and get back. Outcome of investigation was that it didn’t came from their kitchen. That’s it. They apologize for the delay in getting back to me but was sure the cable tie didn’t come from them.

Perhaps the grab delivery guy didn’t like me and prepared the prop beforehand or I prepared this prop beforehand. Nevertheless, it defintely didn’t come from their kitchen which they are very sure of.

27th Jun: To be fair to them, I’m not sure at which stage the cable tie “fell in” as few of you rightly pointed out that it was not melted despite the crust on it. However its more of their refusal to claim responsibility that I’m astonished.Science fact as advised (new to me too!)

Cable ties are made of nylon and their melting pt is over 250 degrees celsius..and deeping frying goes probably 200 degrees celsius. So it wont melt.
