“A single bolt that ran across the entire sky… simply awesome! Fyi this was taken with a wide-angle lens at 10mm and yet still unable to capture everything. One can imagine how massive it was.” said West Vil on Facebook

A curious netizen asked where the photo was taken and the reply was over 40th floor from a Queenstown building facing south.

“I saw this when I was doing my run!!!! Whole sky was illuminated in violet. In my heart I was trying to finish my run so I can snap it. Too late after” said Clayton Tan
“I was walking towards the MRT n the lightning struck our covered shelter. Still felt the big impact on my body now. Aching. A young boy in primary school knelt down after that. Thankfully the lightning rod works” said Jimmy Chua
