Previously, a video went viral after a woman after a woman made several racist remarks on the MRT.

The woman has been identified as 57-year-old Tan Beow Hiong and previously she was remanded for psychiatric evaluation, however the results of the evaluation was not revealed in court.
She could be brought to the community court as it is an option for those who are suffering from mental problems which lead to breaking the law.
Her bail amount is at SGD$5,000 and the judge warned not to make any more offences. She will be back in court of July 30.
If she is found guilty of committing acts prejudicial to racial or religious harmony she could be jailed for a maximum of 3 months and/or fine of SGD$2,000.
